The Ephesus Experience Museum is located on Ephesus’ old site, between the Theatre and the Celsus Library. Remember that in order to enter Ephesus, you must first acquire a ticket to the museum. It requires a special admission ticket, which is not included in the Museum Pass (for international tourists) or the MüzeKart (for Turkish nationals and foreign residents). This is because it is managed by DEM Museums, which is not associated with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
This purchase includes an audioguide that is available in 16 languages. The overall visit time is approximately 20 minutes. If you stop by the cafe for a drink and a quick browse through the gift store, you can anticipate to spend little under an hour at the museum.
It’s advisable to visit after the Ephesus Theatre and before continuing on to the Celsus Library. Alternatively, you might visit the ancient site of Ephesus (Efes) first and then return to the museum when the weather is warmer or the crowds are larger.
