İzmir Commerce History Museum
The Izmir Commerce History Museum, founded in 2003, exhibits the city’s identity and history as it relates to commerce and culture through archeological and ethnographic artefacts. This museum, which also houses the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, can be toured virtually online.
A bread stamp is displayed in the museum to demonstrate that bread in Byzantine times was subjected to quality control. Visitors are fascinated by the model depicting 18th century Izmir and its surroundings.
